Cane Rush


Sugarcane is an ancient food, cultivated for 2,000 years and used by traditional cultures as a medicine. The sugarcane we grow was gifted to us years ago by an old Hawaiian man who said the Hawaiians called it ‘healing’ cane for it’s medicinal qualities. We are happy to share this original health food with you. We grow it with love and care, harvest it sustainably and make every effort to leave as small a carbon footprint as possible. We also compost the bagasse and shred it to add to our Natural Farming Fertilizer.

We selectively harvest our cane, clean it and press the juice out of it. We then add healthful ingredients like tumeric, ginger, cayenne pepper, lime and lemon, coconut milk and cocoa nibs. Sugarcane juice is loaded with good things, and is known to strengthen the stomach, kidneys, heart, eyes, brain and sex organs. It is usful in clearing the urinary flow and helps the kidneys function smoothly. It is low on the glycemic index,

rich in carbohydrates and low in simple sugars. It has chlorophyll, anti-oxidants, and electrolytes. Sugarcane works great for rehydrating the body quickly after strenuous workouts.

We press and process our sugarcane in small 3-5 gallon batches, and freeze it immediately to keep it’s fullest nutritive value. We also will run it through a CiderSure UV Light to pasteurize it, which assures a longer shelf life, while retaining it’s nutritive value of vitamins, minerals and enzymes and robust flavors. This is sold under the product name, SugarRush, and Organic Hawaiian Cane Rush.
